Risky/ adventurous play has many great learning and health benefits. Risky play helps children develop resilience, improves gross motor skills, increases confidence in their own capabilities and fosters a growth mindset, uses motor planning and sequencing skills to execute complex movements, social skills and encourages thinking about consequences as part of risk assessment.
